Selecting your Online Memorabilia Store

P Hudson @ October 28, 2008

If you happen to be someone that adores the odd movie star or celebrity, you will most likely have some form of memorabilia to keep reminding you of them. You might have posters all over your room, diaries with their faces on them or even Photos in your locker. Regardless of what it might be, you will definitely want to have something that is just that little bit more special than any of the others. A movie poster is just a movie poster and it can be obtained from any video store if you want, but an autographed movie poster is something you won’t come across everyday and would definitely make those memorabilia that much more special.

The problem with getting these items is that you do not always have the opportunity to just walk up to a star and ask them for an autograph. The only times you would possibly get would be at a premier show, and even then you still have to hustle and bustle through the masses to get to a perfect spot to get that cherished celebrity photo autographed. Another example would be to catch them on a talk show as part of the audience, but let’s be realistic and say that the chances of that happening are even slimmer than the previous example. So how can one obtain such treasured items?

The good news is that you can get them now at the click of a mouse button. All you have to do is go online and you will find plenty of places that have exactly these items. They have everything, from signed movie posters to t-shirts and other movie memorabilia. You just have to browse through the catalogues and view whatever items your heart desires. Once you have made your selection, you can check out, pay using a credit card or any other form of accepted internet payment, and it will arrive at your doorstep, usually within in a full working week. It is really as easy as that.

A few things you need to look out of through would certainly be a money back guarantee, and some form of insurance for your goods. The guarantee allows you to send the item back if you are not happy with it. That way, if you pay for a signed celebrity photo and you get some kind of mock-up you can send it back and get a full refund. All the insurance option does, is arrange to give you the money back for the item you paid for, in case the real goods are damaged during shipping. It costs a little more, but at least you can use the money to get another one.

If you keep these two things in mind when buying your memorabilia, you will guarantee satisfaction in obtaining that hard to find autographed work and add it to your ever-growing collection. One of the most reliable places where you can get genuine memorabilia and autographed movie posters at a very cheap price is Inferisonline.com. They have a huge collection of rare movie memorabilia and signed movie posters for you to choose.

The Fun Behind Collecting Memorabilia

Sue Daniels @ October 27, 2008

Memorabilia, (from Latin, for memorable) similar to a souvenir, is an object that is treasured for its memories; however, unlike souvenirs, memorabilia are valued for a connection to a historical, sporting event, culture, entertainment. Such items include cigarette cards, air sickness bags, publicity photographs, posters, entertainment-related merchandise, movie memorabilia, pins and other, often-licensed, items.

The simplest things can become a person’s long life collection.

Over the years I have kept every movie ticket of every single movie I have been to. I have tickets from movie theaters in Paris, L.A., New York, even from Hong Kong. I also have an amazing collection of signed index-cards, they are pretty inexpensive and fun to collect.

All these items have been kept in photo albums and they look awesome in my bookcases.

I keep my collections organized. The movie tickets placed together with a mini photo of the theatrical movie poster. The index-cards placed together with a mini photo of the celebrity, in a movie scene, if possible.

It probably sounds crazy, but you can pretty much collect anything. Things like Baseball cards, Coke cans from all the different series they have brought out, even Star trek memorabilia.

I once saw a collection of cards for all teams that were in the premier soccer league for 2000. He had arranged them, team by team, highlighting all the star players and their profiles. It was incredible to go through and I was really impressed at the diligence and dedication he had put into it. He told me that a collector offered him a substantial amount of money for the whole thing.

Collecting memorabilia is easy and a lot of fun, you just need a bit of imagination and dedication; and who knows, maybe you could put something together that turns out to be really valuable one day!

Memorabilia Collection

P Hudson @ October 24, 2008

The Cambridge dictionary defines Memorabilia as objects that are collected because they are connected with a person or event, which is thought to be very interesting. A collection of items that bring back memories of past events, that takes you on a trip down the memory lane. I have one such collection myself; A whole assortment of trinkets and tales that leave me feeling nostalgic, every time I open the box. Over the years I have kept every significant little thing that’s left a distinct memory in my mind and in my heart. Thinking about it now, I can recall concert tickets to my favorite music artist, a small sign that I “borrowed” from the school library back in my school days and my colors badge for sports that I took off my high school blazer. All these items have been kept in a box at the back of my cupboard and I often take it down and go through it, every time I do a spring clean.

It’s great to have all these things, but it’s probably better to have it in a more organized manner, rather than leave them haphazardly, collecting dust and possibly get ruined, broken or worse, by getting lost, along with the memory it carries. There are plenty of ways in which to solve this problem. One of my favorites is to compile a scrapbook. An entire compendium of pages that contains every thing from movie memorabilia, to celebrity photos. Some of the Items, I’ve had to change or re-arrange, just so that they could fit onto the pages or allow me to turn the pages easily.

Aside from keeping your own personal memories, memorabilia refers to collecting other things. Things like Baseball cards, Coke cans from all the different series they have brought out, even Star trek memorabilia. It probably sounds crazy, but you can pretty much collect anything that forms some form of chronological, or other, series of items or events that can portray a history for someone. I once saw a collection of cards for all teams that were in the premier soccer league for 2000. He had arranged them, team by team, Highlighting all the star players and their profiles. It was incredible to go through and I was really impressed at the diligence and dedication he had put into it. We got speaking about it while I was thumbing through it and he told me that a collector offered him a substantial amount of money for the whole thing.

As you can see there’s really not a much that’s required to collecting memorabilia, other than a bit of imagination and dedication to putting it all together. Who knows, maybe you could put something together that turns out to be really valuable one day! Visit Inferisonline.com for an exciting collection of movie memorabilia, autographed movie posters, signed movie posters etc. You will be able to find best memorabilia at highly competitive prices.

Autographed Movie Posters Craze

P Hudson @ October 12, 2008

A monstrous crowd, fans, photographers and news reporters alike, they are all there, eagerly awaiting the arrival of their famed idol. Camera flashes go off blitzing the red carpet walkway hoping to get that perfect shot for their celebrity photos. People are screaming out with laughter and happiness. Everyone is feeling alive with euphoric frenzy, as they all lean forward, holding out complementary movie posters that were tossed in to the crowd earlier. It is the premier night of his latest show and you are there to see the man himself. You have managed to bustle your way to the railing and now you have a front row position to get the perfect view.

As the stretch limo pulls up, the crowd settles with eager anticipation. The driver climbs out the front, takes a slow and steady walk to the rear of the vehicle, and opens the door. Out steps John Travolta in a Black suite with a black Stetson hat. He waves at the crowd with that ever-glowing smile. Everyone goes wild. The photographers are going crazy, bright white flashes blinding you every millisecond! You try to lean over with your camera phone to get a shot and just as you manage to push the button, a hefty security guard with dark glasses and an earpiece walks over and pushes you back. You look at him with disgruntled disbelief. You look down at your phone and see that you managed to get a clear shot. Your annoyance subsides. You stand and watch as Travolta talks to reporters while the crowds scream, “John we love you!” He strikes a pose with his beautiful wife and begins to walk toward the entrance. Your entire body fills with excitement as you feel your heart racing as it almost jumps up your throat. You lift your movie poster up towards him as he walks past and he comes up to you and smiles. He takes the sheet, grabs your marker pen and scribbles a quick note to you and your family. Frozen with fear you barely manage to get a thank you out from behind your rose-blushed cheeks. He lifts his hand to the brim of his hat, dips and smiles as he walks on. You breathe for the first time in what feels like a lifetime. You have it you look down at your latest and greatest acquisition. “Dear Sarah and family Thanks for being such a great fan, Love John!” You leave the venue with your signed movie poster, and your heart and mind satisfied.

I think it is pretty clear why people go crazy about autographed movie posters. It takes them to the time when they were there for many of them. For others it just gives them that added extra value to a plain printed page that had very little meaning until it got inked! It is the sentimental value that makes it so special. A keepsake, which can keep those memories alive for years to come. However all of us may not be this lucky. This does not mean that we can never have autographed posters of movie stars that we adore. We can buy these photographs from a reliable online store such as Inferisonline.com. It is important that you buy such items from a reputed store so that you are not deceived with fakes. Checkout Inferisonline.com for the latest autographed posters of your favorite movie stars.
